Chusa is the pseudonym of Kim Jeong Hui, a prominent Korean government minister, Silhak scholar, and calligrapher. He lived in exile on Jeju for 9 years, during which he developed his own style of writing, “chusache,” based on ancient Chinese and Korean calligraphy.
