The 4th Hueree Apricot Flower Early Spring Festival
Until March 1, 2081 Sillye, Namwon-eup, Seogwipo City
The festival will feature displays of black pigs and let visitors participate in events such as feeding animals and baking sweet potatoes. The food court will offer cooked turban shells, plum makgeolli (Korean rice wine), mugwort pancakes and plum tea. The festival is hosted by the Hueree Natural Living Park.

‘Indulgence of Light - Dawn,’ by Kim Sung Ho
Until March 23, Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art at Jeoji, Hankyung-myun, Jeju City
An individual exhibition by artist Kim Sung Ho with the main theme of dawn is hosted as the 2010 New Year Invitation Exhibit. Kim portrays landscapes at dawn and the beautiful scenery of Jeju, inspired by daily life.

‘Jonang Spirits of Jeju Women’
Until March 31, The Seolmundae Women’s Cultural Center, Yeon-dong, Jeju City
The theme of this exhibition is ‘Jonang spirits’ (cooperation and sharing), an important aspect of Jeju women’s mentality. Boreum gudeok (bamboo baskets covered by paper or fabric), jogakbo (wrapping clothes) and other antiquity and informative materials are displayed.

The 6th Seosara Street Cultural Festival

The festival takes place in the areas of Jeonnong-dong where visitors can enjoy the great beauty of cherry trees in blossom. Events include a walk through streets full of cherry blossoms and street exhibitions of flags. Hosted by the Samdo 1-dong Citizens’ Committee and organized by the Seosara Street Cultural Festival Committee.

2010 Jeju International Peace Marathon
