Jeju United play Ulsan Hyundai on Sunday in a game that could see them take a significant step towards getting ACL qualification for the second season in a row.

Jeju are currently in second position while their opponents Ulsan are in third. Both teams have 58 points so by getting a win tomorrow they would be able to put a three point gap between themselves and Ulsan.

There are currently six games left before the end of the end of the normal season. After this, the league will split into the top and bottom half and each team will play each of the other teams in their half again once more.

How are Jeju playing at the moment?

Recent form suggests that Jeju have a good chance of getting the win they need, although, it will not be easy.

After a poor middle part of the season that saw Jeju drop off the pace slightly, they are currently unbeaten in eight games and have won seven of the last ten (with two draws and one loss). During this period their attack has been scary and they have scored 14 goals, conceding only four.

However, Ulsan are in their own good run of form. They are currently unbeaten in ten. During this period they have won six games.

A good sign for Jeju considering that they are playing at home is that previous games between the two sides this season have seen the home team win both times. While Jeju lost their most recent visit to Ulsan 1-0, when Ulsan came to Jeju earlier in the season Jeju came out with a 3-0 victory.

Jeju have been playing the popular 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 formations recently which allows them to play a lot of their attacking talent while also staying relatively solid at the back. This is shown in their record which currently has them as the team that conceded the fewest goals and scored the third most in the league.

Jeju don't have a stand out goalscorer at the moment, but their attackers Magno Cruz, and Lee Chang-min, Jin Sung-wook have been sharing out the goals.

A lot of credit for Jeju's form has to be given to their back three. Captain Oh Ban-seok has been especially impressive while Kim Won-il and Kwon Han-jin have also done their bit to ensure Jeju have one of the best defenses in the league.

So what can Jeju expect from Ulsan?

Well Ulsan have been playing a 4-4-2 formation with two speedy wingers. Their main threat is Croatian attacker Mirslav Orsic who has eight goals for the team this season.

However, much like Jeju they don't rely on just one player for their goals and Korean striker Lee Jong-ho has also added seven goals throughout the season.
