Hallasan National Park Management Office has extended facility operating hours for trekkers’convenience. Each office operates differing schedules and closing times differ from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Eorimok ticket office and Yeongsil control post: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Witseoreum control post: 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Seongpanak azalea field: 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Gwaneumsa Temple, Samgakbong Peak shelter:
12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Donnaeko ticket office: 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Eoseungsangak ticket office: 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Hallasan National Park Office instigated the changes for safety reasons due to potential accidents caused by weather conditions. The office requests that trekkers fully prepare drinking water, extra clothes and hats for safe hiking. Visitors have increased by 10.7 percent from 360,000 to nearly 400,000 over the last year.
