On the morning of May 3, tourists mostly from the mainland were looking around Samsunghyeol. Samsunghyeol is not the most famous attraction, but quite a lot of people come to see the three holes from which Jeju legend had arisen.

According to the Samsungheol’s offical website, about 4300 years ago Ko Eula, Yang Eula, and Bu Eula were born together and they lived by foraging. Then three princesses from the Byeokrang kingdom came to Jeju with horses and the seeds of 5 grains, and built the kingdom of Tamla.

Mr. Yang who is from the mainland was looking around Samseonghyeol with his family, he said “I like the trees the most. They are so old, they look like dragon’s scales. I also like the fresh air. I felt very good looking around here.”

Ms. Park, another lady looking around Samseonghyeol said, “I heard about the myth before, but after I watched the video and looked around the museum, I learned new things about the myth and much more details.”

Samsunghyeol is not well known to people but it is an important cultural property of Jeju. Also It is designated a cultural property of Korea.
