Star Cruises is Southeast Asia’s representative cruise ship provider and is set on making Jeju a high-value cruise destination at the center of Northeast Asia.

Calling its cruises “A Voyage of Discoveries and Surprises,” Star Cruises reaches unique destinations throughout South-east Asia little known by Koreans. Cruise officials are confident that their cruises will be full of endless wonder.

Together with Norwegian Cruise Line, Star Cruises is the third largest cruise line in the world operating a combined fleet of 18 ships with approximately 35 thousand lower berths, with cruises to over 200 destinations in Asia-Pacific, North and South America, Hawaii, Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, Mediterranean, Bermuda and Antarctica.

Star Cruises targets the Asian market and provides various cruise itineraries in the Asia-Pacific region. The five ships serving the Asian cruising wave are the Superstar Virgo, Superstar Aquarius, Superstar Libra, Star Pacis, and SuperStar Gemini.

Star Cruises ships boast world-class restaurants, high-quality entertainment and healthcare, a captain’s cocktail party, not to mention some of the most attractive ports of call in all of Asia. Honeymooners in particular love the tours to Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore and with unbeatable facilities for incentive and business travel, Star Cruises caters to all needs.

There are many reasons for the rising of the Asian cruising star, but the distance and cost involved in traveling to more established destinations in Europe and Asia is a factor. In comparison, Asian destinations are comparatively close and affordable making luxury marine travel possible.

Jeju, at the center of Northeast Asia, sits ideally to benefit from this growth, not to mention its environment, UNESCO triple crown and New7Wonders of Nature honor. Star Cruises has big ambitions to develop the Korean market by bringing plenty more ships to Jeju Island in the future.
