Carnival Corporation & plc is the largest cruise company and among the most profitable and financially strong vacation companies in the world. With 102 ships in their fleet and over 200 thousand berths, the Corporation holds 50 percent of the worldwide market share in cruises and welcomes almost 10 million guests per year.

Their portfolio of 10 cruise brands include Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Seabourn headquartered in the United States; P&O Cruises and Cunard head-quartered in the United Kingdom; AIDA Cruises in Germany; Costa Cruises in Italy; Iberocruceros in Spain; and P&O Cruises Australia.

These cruise brands offer a wide range of vacation products to a customer base that is broadly varied in terms of cultures, languages and leisure-time preferences. One out of every two cruisers globally sail on a Carnival ship, which are active on all of the top cruise routes internationally.

Carnival Corporation & plc is the only group in the world to be included in both the S&P 500 and the FTSE 100 and 2012 net revenue was 15.4 billion US dollars and 1.3 billion US dollars in net income. Worldwide employees total 77,000 shipboard and 14,000 shoreside across all cruising destinations and routes.

Ocean-going cruising is a relatively new vacation product to Asian consumers and a new region of growth for Carnival Corporation & plc. Their research suggests Asia could account for 20% of the global cruise market share and over 7 million guests. Carnival are well positioned to be at the forefront of this growth.

With such pedigree and ambition it should come as no surprise that Carnival is further strengthening its fleet with seven new ships scheduled for delivery across six of its cruise brands. Carnival is well prepared for the growth in Asian cruising and to retain its position as the premier cruise fleet.
