To welcome the new year, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province is holding a customer appreciation event from Dec. 9 to Jan. 29. 28 traditional market sellers will participate to encourage locals to use local markets when buying goods for their traditional New Year’s Day rituals. Further, in addition to the big mart closure days, Jeju province is planning a “traditional market day” in January.
Customers buying over 10,000 won of market goods will be entered into a prize draw with 400 winners, with prizes including gift vouchers and a car worth 30 million won.
