With the theme “opening doors to the world together,” Jeju’s Global Language Festival, to be held on Oct. 31 at Halla Gymnasium, looks to unit participants from the world over.

This year, around 10,000 people are expected to attend, including Jeju residents, students, teachers and foreigners. Along with English, Chinese and Japanese speech contests, attendees will be able to enjoy talent shows put on by Jeju’s EPIK teachers and other foreign residents, as well as an English play by elementary school students and students from Jeju Foreign High School, a debate contest, quiz contest, and a Chinese dance and singing contest.

Included in the musical line up are popular Korean singers Ryan, Too Seng-chan, Park Hwayobi, and Untouchable. These performances will be broadcast live through Arirang Radio.
