Saryeoni Forest is one of the interesting forests in Jeju. “Saryeoni” means ”the inside of the forest,” a secret deep in the mountain. Visitors can enjoy nature, fresh air, and green showers (breathing while walking in the forest).
When the JDC Junior Journalists visited Saryeoni Forest on Saturday, September 21st, it was cooler than in the city. There were many people visiting for Chuseok holiday.
When we were walking, we interviewed Kyung Sook Kang, a designer from L.A. who said, “This Saryeoni path is good for walking with friends.”
We also interviewed Yang Yee In from Seoul who came with his family. “I like this place because this path is made with soil,” he said. Many people were interested in the path made with soil.
And we interviewed Le Ji Hye, a Jeju University student from Suwon who came with her family. She said Saryeoni air is fresh and she came because she wanted to walk the forest.
While the JDC Junior Journalists were walking back to the entrance, we interviewed Lee Yong Jung from Aewol. She came to Saryeoni to enjoy nature. “The best thing about Saryeoni is that you can’t hear cars.” she said. “And you can enjoy green showers.”
If you want to have a holiday, the JDC Junior Journalists recommend walking in Saryeoni Forest. You can talk with your friends or your family members while walking. |
