Right now, due to the use of so much fossil fuel, the global warming is threatening many people’s life. And, one way to save them from is to use renewable energy.

So, what is renewable energy anyway? It’s a type of energy we get from the power of nature. For example, renewable energy can be produced by the sun, waves, poop from animals, wind etc. So it doesn’t harm our planet, and we can use it forever. And, since it doesn’t make any CO2, the use of renewable energy will stop the growing damage caused by global warming. There are sun light energy, wave energy, wind energy and bio energy.

But, it also has some bad part. Since the electricity was made by nature, it also get many effect by the nature. Like, when there’s no wind, it’s cloudy... So you won’t be able to use
electricity or it can cost a real lot for a period of time.

And in regards to that concern, Kim Hong-bin, a 6th grader in Sin Jeju Elementary School, said “The governrment should make a preventive measure for black-out or something.”

The renewable energy center has some places that we can experience some of the renewable energy by playing games and making the source of energy. It also has a 4D movie room where they intruduce about the renewable energy.

Kim said “The good part of visiting here is that I get to learn more abut how serious is the global warming. And I can also learn more about renewable energy.” And for some change, he wanted the PR center to be built bigger to give more impression on people about renewable energy.

So, the renewable energy sometimes can be hard to use, because the generation of electricity isn’t equal to other sources. Due to that, the price of energy can go up and down. But to protect our earth and make our life comfortable by using energy, the use of renewable energy is what we must choose.
