Menu: Bomal is a Jeju specialty marine mollusc. Here it is served in a very generous soup (bomalguk), or mollusc soup with hand-cut noodles (bomalkalguksu).

Taste: This hits the spot like few other dishes. The noodles have the thickness of hearty homemade fare while the dense creamy broth masks the mollusc base. A Jeju favourite - prepare to be met with glee when locals learn of your culinary knowledge - that needs to be tasted to be believed.

Interior: A no-nonsense set up. Tables and chairs plus traditional floor-dining available.

Atmosphere: Homely. Expect to be greeted warmly by this intergenerational operation. A nice mix of locals and day-trippers to the clientele.

Staff: Family-run and friendly.
