It is just great that Jeju became one of the New7Wonders of Nature. But I think Jeju is doing excessive advertising. I see the banners from the bus and everywhere. It’s a little too exaggerated. At the same time, I think it gives an opportunity for Jeju to be well-known in the world.

I’m happy that Jeju became one of New7Wonders of Nature. I voted by phone.

Eliza Brown
English teacher
When I told everybody back home that Jeju was just nominated to one of New7Wonders of Nature, everyone was really jealous that I was living here for a year to teach English. I’m really happy that it became one of the New7Wonders.

In my opinion, if more foreigners come to visit Jeju, it will stimulate the local economy. At the same time, I’m worried about Jeju getting damaged. Also, in my opinion, it would be great if we can show-off the nice side of Jeju, but there are some people who are not nice to foreigners, so I think it might have a negative impact on Jeju's image. Anyway, as a Jeju resident, I hope all things go well.

Well... I actually wasn’t paying much attention to the New7Wonders of Nature. However, my hometown being recognized to have one of greatest and the most beautiful nature makes me feel proud to be a Jeju resident. Also, I heard that this will increase the number of tourists visiting Jeju, so I’m assuming it will have an effect on Jeju's economy.

Regardless of credibility of the foundation, I’m glad that Jeju became one of the New7Wonders of Nature. However, I’m a little sad that Korea put so much into it, when the foundation’s credibility is being questioned and it doesn’t have any relationship with the UN... However, I feel positive about the nomination. It’s all good.

Kim Min Gyu
It’s great. As a restaurant owner, the more visitors , the better. Also, if more foreign visitors come to Jeju, it will contribute to Jeju development process. I’m quite positive.

Hyun Joong Soo
Retiree
It’s great. It’s just great. It’s good that Jeju has one of the most beautiful natures.

Lee Hyun Suk
Researcher
First of all, I want to congratulate Jeju on becoming one of the New7Wonders of Nature. It will attract many visitors. In order to welcome those tourists in a sophisticated way, I believe that there needs to be education for Jeju locals.
