Second place Jeju United welcome Jeonbuk Motors today in a game that could see them go joint on points with the league leaders.

It is the last game before the league splits into a top and a bottom half and a win for Jeju would be a great boost for their final five games as they look to bring a first league title to Jeju.

How were their last games?

Considering these are the top two teams in the league, their last two games weren't that impressive.

Despite going ahead against Gwangju, Jeju conceded a goal in the second half when ex-Jeju player Wanderson scored to make it 1-1. Jeju couldn't get the goal they needed to get the win meaning the game finished 1-1.

Jeonbuk's last game also finished 1-1, this time against Suwon Bluewings. However, their game was a little more dramatic as it looked like Jeonbuk were going to lose until veteran striker Lee Dong-gook scored in the 82nd minute.

How about their recent form?

On the surface recent form looks good for both teams, with Jeju being on an impressive 12 game unbeaten run and Jeonbuk having only lost two games in the same amount of time.

However, both teams have drawn their past two games, with Jeonbuk having gone without a win for three. This has been perhaps extra frustrating for Jeju as they finally got within one win of reaching Jeonbuk only for them to blow not one, but two chances of drawing level.

Especially regretful was the game against Sangju Sangmu. They surprisingly went two goals behind early on and yet despite completely dominating the remainder of the game couldn't get the goal they needed to take the win.

Perhaps both teams are getting nervy towards the end of the season and as such, a win today would do a lot to settle those nerves!

How have previous games between the two sides this season finished?

Jeju have had the edge over Jeonbuk this season and have won both games. The first game of the season at Jeonbuk's ground finished 4-0 to Jeju, while the second game at Jeju's home stadium finished 2-1 to Jeju.

What can we expect from the game?

Both teams have a great chance to seriously boost their seasons with a win today. Should Jeonbuk win they will go six points clear of Jeju at the top of the league and at least four points clear of Ulsan (depending on how their game goes today). As mentioned previously, Jeju have the chance of drawing level with Jeonbuk should they win.

However, both teams have looked a little nervy recently as they have struggled to turn draws into wins. It will likely be a very even game and, to be honest, it could go either way.

One thing that is likely is goals, as Jeonbuk and Jeju both play attacking football and are the top scoring teams in the league.
