A man is suspected of killing his wife and her two children at a daycare center in Oedo-dong, Jeju City, before killing himself.

The discovery was made on Monday, Sept 21, as the body of 52-year-old Koh was found hanging on the stairs.

The body of 40-year-old Yang, who ran the daycare center, was found in her bedroom and the bodies of her two children (aged 14 and 11) from a previous marriage were found under a blanket in their room with no signs of a struggle.

A teacher found Koh’s body after a parent called to report the daycare center closed.

The police were informed at 7:58am and they then found the three other bodies within the property.
After marital problems, the couple was preparing for divorce.

Yang married Koh in 2012. He was then arrested in August after being accused of serially molesting Yang’s daughter. He was arrested without detention but denied the charges. The case was due to go to court in October.

A note written by Koh was found at the scene. It said: “I leave this world.”
