Through its official “Happy Jejudo” social media platforms, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province is holding a winter event to increase communication with residents.

From Nov. 17 to 28 SNS users are being encouraged to share “cherished memories and winter scenes with Jeju” by leaving a picture with comments on the province’s “Happy Jejudo” SNS accounts on Twitter and Facebook.

Comments in English are also accepted and should introduce unexplored winter scenes, delicious restaurants, hidden attractions, personal memories, or places with stories to tell and 20 winners will share 1,000,000 won with the winners announced on Dec. 8.

A provincial spokesperson said the introductory and participatory space was being created "In order to repay the love and support we receive during the year." Diverse opinions and posts are fully encouraged, and are not necessarily expected to promote the provincial authorities.
