J-creation Co, Ltd. of Jeju Lava Seawater Complex plans to ship about 75 tons of Jeju Mineral Lava Water to Australia with the first batch having left Busan on Dec. 10, 2013. The water will be sold at department stores in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane through Australian buyers.
Jeju Mineral Lava Water is being targted to Asian and Australian markets with its premium water product which is 15 to 20 percent more than Samdasoo. Launched last September, from next year the water will be exported to the USA, Japan, Indonesia and China. In the case of US exports, it will be distributed through Wholefoods, a market leader, and other local partners. In anticipation of entering the Indonesian market, the company is seeking halal certification.
The CEO of J-creation says that the quality of Jeju Mineral Lava Water makes it stand out from other water products and market research suggests 1.5 billion bottles of exports could be achieved to targeted markets.
