Jeju Province has been selected as 2013's best site for attracting foreign investment. The province will receive a presidential citation at the 2013 Foreign Company Day celebrations.

The 2013 Foreign Company Day is organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, and has been held every year since 2001. This year's celebration will be held at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul on October 30th.

Jeju Province has tried to stimulate foreign investments through enacting the Jeju Special Act, alongside other regulations to promote investments, since 2010. This has brought about the foreign investments in the Myths and History Theme Park as well as the new Health Care Town.

In addition, Jeju was also recognized for the revitalization of its local economy and for job creation through construction businesses.

More than 400 officials are set to attend the 2013 Foreign Company Day celebration, including leading global CEOs, foreign diplomats, and officials from foreign chambers of commerce. They will hold a foreign investment forum and industrial investment seminar, in addition to one-on-one business meetings.

Jeju Province is planning to advertise its investment possibilities and benefits to entrepreneurs at the event.
