Following typhoon Bolaven, tropical storm Tembin makes its way to Jeju |

After taking a battering by typhoon Bolaven earlier this week, a second, more mild, tropical storm is expected to hit the island this evening.
Tropical storm Tembin is moving north from Taiwan at 20 km/h and the front edge of the storm should reach Seogwipo City, on the southern side of the island, around 8 p.m.
The Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration announced that the tropical storm’s central pressure is 980 hPa with winds reaching speeds of 31.0 m/s. The anticipated precipitation on the island is between 30mm and 150mm.
By 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, the full force of Tembin’s wind and rain will be felt on the island. |
