From May 23 to 28, a free Saturn observation event will be held at the Seogwipo Astronomical Science and Culture Center in Seogwipo City.
An hour-long session entails 30 minutes in the celestial body projection room and 30 minutes in the observatory’s telescope room. There is a viewing at 8 p.m. and at 9 p.m.
In the projection room, participants will learn about celestial bodies and their locations in the sky. Each participant will be given a chance to locate stars and planets like Saturn and Venus at the observatory.
In the second floor Exhibition Hall, which will be open from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., there are displays on the history of the universe, the composition and types of galaxies, and an explanation of the structure of an astronomical telescope.
In the event of rain, activities like miniature telescopes and planet Saturn making will be provided by the center.
This event is open to all.
