At the Jeju Arts Center, two large concerts are being held. Saxophonist Danny Jung, famous for his lively performances, will play on Christmas Eve at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. In these, he will offer not only renditions of beautiful Christmas songs but also opportunities where the audience can participate, such as interview and proposal events for couples. Tickets are 50,000 won.

Jeju Arts Center, 231 Onam-ro, Jeju City. For further inquiries, call 1588-2364.

Another musician on the stage of the Jeju Arts Center is Yiruma, who leads the New Age music movement in Korea, with 13 albums and over 100 solo concerts. After a two-year break to recharge, he has returned with a Korea concert tour commemorating the 10th anniversary of his debut. The tour started in Busan on Nov. 27 and will end in Seoul on Dec. 31.

If you don’t want to go to a crowded large performance hall to celebrate Christmas, there is a special concert at a cozy café in the quiet village of Jocheon-eup, Jeju City. The stone-built Café Seba, which opened on Dec. 1, is charmingly decorated and will host a jazz band during its Christmas Jazz Concert, on Dec. 25 at 5 p.m. Saxophonist Lee Jong Hyeok, pianist Kim Se Woon, bassist Kim Seong Eun, and drummer Jang Na Ra will be present to entertain with a high-quality performance. The tickets are 10,000 won and they can be purchased on site or online at blog.naver.com/cafeseba.
