Crowds in good cheer flocked to Jeju's mystical Dragon River for the 2016 Yongyeon On-Board Musical Concert.
Spectators watched from atop the Yongyeon bridge and lined both sides of the ravine for the show at 7.30pm on June 3.
The Jeju city beauty spot, nestling between Tap-dong to the east and Dragon Head Rock (Yongduam) to the west, was filled with music, song and dance for the annual traditional re-enactment.
Wooden rafts glided across the water, ferrying traditionally dressed characters of Jeju's bygone age as they played out scenes on three stages on both sides of the gully.

The two-hour spectacular, which also featured traditional dancing, a live orchestra and a children's choir, was well received by spectators.
"Bravo, bravo," cheered an audience member to my side as the evening's entertainment drew to a climatic end, with applause echoing through the gully.
Indeed, it seemed to be a sentiment shared by many spectators enjoying this year's open-air show - a tribute to Jeju's mythic Yongyeon, dragons that visited Jeju from the East Sea.
It is said the dragons were attracted to the gully's natural rocky formation and the arena became their favourite playground.

The river is also said to have became a favoured spot of a Jeju governor from the Joseon dynasty.
The governor enjoyed boating along the river and feasting under the starry night sky in the ravine.
At the governor’s request, local villagers created elaborate shows staged in Yongyeon and the festivities became known as Yongyeonyabeom.
